The roles of medications and other interventions in treating mental health conditions
- To appreciate when medications may be helpful for mental health issues in older adults;
- To understand major types of medications used for mental health issues in older adults – including their main benefits and side effects;
- To become empowered to be a ‘smart consumer’ when one is taking these medications – including some strategies in interacting with the prescribing physicians
