Social Assistance and the Modern Seniors

A Community Workshop for Modern Seniors

Speaker: 黃慕瑜 女士 (Ms. Anna Wong)

There are 2 types of financial assistance in Ontario:

• OW: Ontario Works which is a financial assistance program, helps people do not have enough money to cover their immediate family's living expenses. People are 16 or older, live in Ontario (and not a visitor or a tourist.

• ODSP: Ontario Disability Support Program which is a financial assistance for people 65+ are not eligible for OAS and people at least 18 years old with long term disability, be in financial need. Applicants must be Ontario residents.

Hope to answer general questions regarding Social Assistance Information and their eligibility of Ontarians.
